Val Roney Counseling

I am committed to providing quality treatment. In successful client-therapist relationships, trust is key. Legally and ethically, I am committed to creating a confidential and empathetic environment to explore issues and relationships with the goal of healing unresolved issues. My counseling is eclectic in approach; however, I have had extensive education and training.

After our initial introduction, we talk and identify your core issues by examining your past and present. In addition, I sometimes ask you to write, to read, to draw, to share family photographs, and often suggest new ways of thinking about your life and behaviors.

I offer no guarantees for any specific outcome but we will work together to achieve the best possible results. I will be your coach  in this process. Successful  outcomes ultimately enable you to face your challenges without my support. I am an advocate of short term therapy.

If I cannot meet your therapeutic needs, I have a broad base of resources who can help you.

Please read what some of my clients have to say about me.

Val's clients experience
positive results.

"Val is compassionate, loving, positive and enlightening. She had incredible insight into my madness."
                   - W.A. (Duvall)

"I appreciate Val's gentle voice, caring eyes, soft hugs, and her presence that makes her so "open". I always come home feeling a part of me is re-born. She helps me feel that I am good, and that how I feel is OK. I always look forward to the times I can talk with Val because she helps me feel just right. She gives me the moral support that I need."
                 - D.B. (Fall City)

"Val truly made me work and in turn this helped me uncover the real me. The ability to feel... share and most importantly be honest with myself and others is the gift Val gave me. Now it is up to me."
                 - D.S. (Seattle)

There are no words that say how much I appreciate Val and her support. I couldn't have gotten to where I am today without her."
                  - C.G. (Monroe)

God grant me the serenity
To accept the things I cannot change
Courage to change the things I can
And the wisdom to know the difference.
